A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of Lloyds Bank in Headington last month.
Thames Valley Police tonight said the teenager was in custody and had been arrested on suspicion of robbery of a business premises in Oxford.
The robbery was carried out at the London Road bank on January 23 by two masked men, with one reportedly carrying a firearm.
They were believed to have made off in a white BMW 1 series car and although a police helicopter was brought out to trace them the robbers escaped.
Investigating officer Det Sgt Parsons from Force CID based in Oxford, said: “I would ask anyone who may not have contacted police already but has any information about this robbery to get in touch."
