Traffic calming measures have been installed at a recreation ground ahead of a major £700,000 improvement project.
Social enterprise Courtside, in partnership with Witney Town Council, is in the process of transforming the sports and leisure facilities on offer at The Leys in Witney to turn it into a "flagship recreation destination".
Witney Town Council said with greater numbers of people expected to use the Leys and a likely increase in vehicles, speed cushions and a hump have been put in place "to mitigate risk to pedestrians".
A statement from the authority said: "The road alongside the Leys was already identified as an area where some antisocial driving behaviours had been observed and speeding was also regularly happening."

The town council contributed £5,000 toward the traffic calming project delivered and co-funded by Oxfordshire County Council.
It said the measures were introduced on the back of feedback following a public consultation with local residents.
Plans to introduce speed bumps were first raised before the upgrade of the recreation ground was announced.
They were branded 'completely unnecessary' and wasteful by some residents.
One anonymous critic said: "Finding it slightly strange as no one in their right mind speeds down there.
"It's a dead end… with the very high possibility of cars reversing out.
"We regularly park here and have never seen anyone over 10mph."
