James Bolton of Woodstock Harriers continued his fine form to come second at the Thame 10K.

The Vet 40 runner finished in 33mins 23secs, five seconds behind Karl Spielmann (Midhurst Milers).

Woodstock’s Sophie Carter, running for Belgrave Harriers, was 19th overall and the first woman to finish in 36.57.

She was just under a minute ahead of Headington Road Runners’ Diane Moore.

Will Downey was the first Witney Road Runners athlete to finish, crossing in 41st place.

Woodstock’s Denise Brides took the honours in the Vet 45, completing the route in 98th overall in 42.11.

Elsewhere, Witney's Paul Ainslie was the first Vet 50 to cross the line as he came home fifth at the Cumnor Legion 5k in a time of 20.23.
