OXFORDSHIRE’S darts community are mourning the death of promising player Ryan Bull at the age of 20, following a long illness.

Bull, from Witney, played for Carterton in the Oxfordshire Super League and for the county’s youth team.

He had just starting playing for the county’s senior team when he was taken ill.

Oxfordshire team manager Graham Manning said: “Ryan will be remembered fondly throughout the darts fraternity as a quality player and a genuinely nice guy.”

His funeral will be held at Our Lady and St Hugh Catholic Church, Tower Hill, Witney on Monday, August 8 at noon.
